FAQs

  • What should I expect at my first appointment?

During our first session we will get to know one another, explore your history, and go over what symptoms you are currently experiencing. We will create a treatment plan with goals you’d like to work on in our sessions. You can expect our first session to last 50-60 minutes.

  • What insurances does Clark Counseling take?

    Priority Health

    Blue Cross Blue Shield

    Aetna

    Blue Care Network

    United Healthcare

We also accept private pay for clients out of network.

  • How will I pay for any out of pocket expenses?

We ask that you keep a credit card, debit card, or HSA on file before beginning services. On the day of your appointment you will be charged any applicable charges automatically through Ivy Pay (A HIPPA compliant billing platform).

  • What If I need to cancel my appointment?

We ask that you give 24 hour notice if you need to cancel your appointment so that another client can take that spot if needed. If 24 hour notice is not given or the session is missed, a late cancelation fee/no show fee of $75 will be charged to the card on file.

  • How should I prepare for a session?

Make sure you are in a private place where you feel safe to open up. Check your internet connection and settle in. It is part of our job to ask hard questions but our hope is that you always feel safe in our sessions. It can be helpful to bring a bulleted list to our sessions of issues you’d like to address.

  • How much does counseling cost?

Pricing depends on your individual insurance policy. The best way to know what counseling will cost is by contacting your insurance provider directly. We will also verify your benefits and explain payments before we begin working together.

Private pay clients will be charged $150 for an initial session and $125 for each session afterwards.
